This position supports the development, coordination, and implementation of various employee engagement, recognition, and compliance programs. This position also includes managing the unemployment claims process, supporting employee recognition initiatives, and coordinating key HR functions related to compliance and employee welfare. The Coordinator ensures the efficient, compliant execution of these responsibilities, contributing to a positive organizational culture.
This role provides critical support in building a positive, supportive workplace culture by driving employee engagement, recognition, and compliance programs. The Coordinator manages unemployment claims, supports meaningful employee recognition initiatives, and oversees critical HR processes that promote employee well-being and organizational compliance. This important work helps to foster a positive workplace for our employees.
This is an on-site role.

Essential Functions |
What You'll Do:
- Support key aspects of the university's monthly Spirit of Excellence recognition program - from planning and communications to award delivery and process improvements.
- Coordinate logistics for employee recognition events, coordinating with vendors, overseeing budgets, and ensuring events run smoothly.
- Coordinator unemployment claims processes, responding to cases, representing the institution at hearings, and monitoring claims for fraud, and liaising with process stakeholders.
- Coordinating employee drug testing for pre-employment, random, and federally regulated positions
- Help establish compliant campus lactation spaces with facilities teams to support working parents.
- Assist employees in need by supporting the application of the employee Hardship Fund process, collaborating with internal partners.
- With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll gather feedback, recommend program enhancements, and stay current on best practices to ensure our employee programs remain engaging, supportive, and compliant.
