Processing Archivist, Archives & Rare Books Library: Staff position responsible for appraising, accessioning new collections, and processing (arrangement and description) of archival and manuscript collections to ensure their long-term care and discoverability. Additionally, the archivist works to create online finding aids in a collection management system, supervise student assistants, and assist in collaborative prioritization of processing projects. Receives general direction from and reports to the head of the Archives & Rare Books Library (ARB). Essential Functions
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Library Sciences with an archives concentration Required Trainings/Certifications Required Experience
One (1) year of processing experience with demonstrated ability to independently process records consistent with current archival best practices Comfortable with a wide range of computer applications Additional Qualifications Considered
