HPES corporate headquarters is currently located in Pleasanton, CA, with a satellite office in Houston, TX and (5) Service Maintenance sites - Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN, Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, AZ, MD Anderson, Houston, TX, St. Jude's Children Hospital, Memphis, TN and John Hopkins Medical, Washington, DC, with future plans to expand to the UWH - University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, WI and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, FL.

SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, the Warehouse Clerk performs material and supply receiving, inventorying, allocation and distribution functions. This individual accounts for and keeps parts and materials in good order to provide for the requirements of manufacturing assemblers and engineering. The Warehouse Clerk assists with kitting parts for assemblies as needed. They will preform other general tasks in the Operations environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Route material throughout the stockroom and production areas and log the transactions.

  • Sort, inspect, count and check all materials, finished and semi-finished parts.

  • Checks shelves for adequate inventory and assists in the preparation of purchase requisitions.

  • Builds production kits from bills of materials, enters the transactions, and maintains the necessary clerical records.

  • Brings discrepancies to the manager's attention and provides adequate documents to correct the issue.

  • Records movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. Verifies accuracy of work performed.

  • Assist with receipt, unpack and issue materials and supplies in stockroom and warehouse.

  • Assist with checking goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders or other documents to verify correctness of incoming shipments.

  • Assists Purchasing with vendor control, timely receipt of material and vendor returns as needed.

  • Assist with product picking for sales orders, and part and system shipment to customers.

  • Perform routine cycle count of warehouse material and yearly stock count.

  • Drive forklift to load/unload heavy crates and shipment throughout the production plant and warehouse area.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED / or equivalent education required.

  • At least 2+ years as a Stock Clerk or Material Handler in a Production / Engineering R&D environment

  • Must be familiar with electronic and mechanical parts and nomenclature for part identification.

  • Must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment.

  • Able to effectively communicate with other functional departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Sales departments.

  • Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Other Duties: As needed, perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

Physical activities required to perform essential job functions:

Lift and carry up to 35 pounds routinely. Communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Write by hand and keyboard. Movement within office complex, manufacturing and in confined spaces throughout facility. Communicate by telephone and in person. Visual acuity and manual dexterity needed for detail work, computer use, and the reading of drawings, and documents.

Mental activities required to perform essential job functions:

Moderate reading, writing, computer and math skills. Perception, comprehension and analysis. Independent judgment and initiative.

Job conditions:

Works alone and with others in a general office, product assembly, laboratory and machine shop environment.
