Sales Operations Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Sales Operations Specialist to play a vital role in supporting our sales team. This role is responsible for identifying high-quality sales leads, sourcing RFPs and bid opportunities, tracking market developments, and surfacing new business opportunities.

This individual will act as the engine behind our sales pipeline, fueling it with qualified opportunities that align with our product offerings and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and source public and private RFPs, RFIs, and tender opportunities relevant to our product lines.
  • Monitor healthcare and senior living industry developments (policy, funding, infrastructure projects, procurement trends) to identify potential leads.
  • Qualify and prioritize incoming and researched leads based on alignment with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of actionable opportunities for the sales team.
  • Collaborate with account managers and sales reps to pass along high-potential leads and support bid decision-making.
  • Keep records of all lead-generation activity and RFP tracking using CRM and internal systems.
  • Assist in the early stages of the proposal process when needed (e.g., providing background research, deadlines, opportunity briefs).
  • Stay informed on competitors, customer needs, and market trends to help shape sales strategy.
Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a sales operations, business development support, or market research role - preferably in the medical device, healthcare, or B2B sales space.
  • Proven experience with RFP sourcing and lead qualification.
  • Strong research and analytical skills - able to synthesize information and assess opportunity viability.
  • Familiarity with healthcare procurement platforms, bid portals, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to uncovering new opportunities.
