Systems Engineer

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Engineer - Staff Principal in support of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate.

EPASS Program: (Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services) supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's ISR & SOF Directorate in equipping our warfighters with advanced intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and special operations capabilities. Candidates will help deliver responsive acquisition, sustainment, and modernization support for Air Force and allied missions worldwide.

This is a full-time position located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB).

Apply deep knowledge of DoD acquisition principles and processes (DoD 5000.01, DoD 5000.02, system-of-systems engineering) to acquisition, research, development, test, evaluation, and sustainment activities across ISR platforms.
• Provide GEOINT engineering expertise in technology development, capability analysis, system integration, architecture development, and transition of advanced ISR technologies into operational systems.
• Conduct technical and mission analyses to evaluate operational requirements, develop system concepts, and perform trade-off studies on performance, feasibility, cost, risk, producibility, maintainability, and supportability.
• Review and assess system architectures, baselines, and specifications (ICDs, subsystem controls, avionics, communications, environmental/thermal management, radar/sensor technologies) for compliance, interoperability, and design feasibility.
• Support test and evaluation activities, including development of test requirements, reviewing integration test plans and procedures, analyzing test data, and participating in system, subsystem, and component testing.
• Develop and maintain program documentation, including SOOs, SOWs, SEPs, LCSPs, program plans, schedules, and technical presentations, while supporting cost and schedule assessments.
• Provide systems integration and engineering support across GEOINT and ISR domains, including radar phenomenology, sensor data link development, subsystem integration, architecture planning, and management of technical and programmatic requirements.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret w/SCI SAP eligibility

Education and Years of Experience:

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD.
• OR bachelor's degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 of which must be in the DoD.
• the Contractor will have successfully completed an undergraduate degree with a major in engineering from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s) for the degree requirements of the position (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace). Degrees in engineering technology are not considered to be qualifying for these positions.
