Patient Financial Representative (Benefits)

Schedule:Full Time | MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Pay Rate:$15.64 $18.75 / hour (based on experience)

***Remote Eligibility:Yes after 90 days of successfully meeting performance, productivity, and attendance requirements

What You'll Be Doing:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients across multiple settings (phone, in person, bedside, electronically)
• Perform registration, insurance verification, authorization, and claims support
• Generate price estimates while ensuring accuracy and compliance with government transparency regulations
• Use Epic and payer portals to ensure Medicare medical necessity and billing requirements are fully met
• Partner with Care Management and Utilization Management to support ongoing authorization and discharge planning
• Prevent claim denials by confirming patient identity and ensuring clean, accurate data entry
• Apply your analytical and critical thinking skills in a dynamic, patient-facing environment

What You Bring:

• Preferred Experience:
• 1+ year in a customer service or relations role
• 2+ years in revenue cycle or healthcare billing
• Epic experience is a strong plus
• Insurance verification & prior authorization
• Home health experience is a bonus
• Preferred Skills:
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent computer and data entry skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus

Education:High School diploma or equivalent required. Post high school training or associate degree preferred.

Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer relations role. Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle experience, Epic experience preferred.
