Manual Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Tester to join our dynamic team in Boise, ID. As a Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through thorough manual testing processes. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Test Case Development: Create, document, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Manual Testing: Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing, to identify defects and ensure software meets quality standards.
• Defect Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar, providing clear and detailed reproduction steps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements, clarify ambiguities, and verify bug fixes.
• Test Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of test results, test plans, and testing processes.
• User Experience Validation: Ensure the application meets user expectations for usability, performance, and functionality.
• Ad Hoc Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and potential issues not covered by existing test cases.

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in manual software testing or quality assurance, preferably in IT or software development environments.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, functional testing).
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
