FOX Entertainment has a great opportunity for an Executive Director, Business and Legal Affairs! We're looking for a dynamic and experienced legal professional to join our team and provide support across all facets of scripted television production. In this pivotal role, the Executive Director, Business and Legal Affairs will engage in complex deal negotiations, manage high-level talent agreements, and advise on a wide range of legal and business affairs issues. The Executive Director, Business and Legal Affairs will support FOX's network and studio scripted development and production.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate a variety of production and development deals and negotiate and finalize agreements, including all above-the-line talent agreements, rights agreements, below-the-line production agreements, and other contracts as necessary
  • Provide ongoing legal advice on strategic and complex matters around production, clearance, and other issues
  • Analyze agreements in response to business questions, and provide information as necessary
  • Manage relationships with agents, lawyers, and studio executives throughoutthe entertainment industry
  • Create and maintain departmental resources and actively participate in the establishment of departmental policies for scripted programming

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Active member of the California bar or Registered In-House Counsel status
  • Seasoned executive with a minimum of 7 years of prior legal experience, with significant prior entertainment production and/or distribution experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with complex contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Effective manager of others, adept at supervising, providing feedback, and mentoring other members of the team
  • Established relationships within the entertainment community
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and to remain composed under pressure

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $179,000.00-190,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
