The Linen Aide reports to Assistant Director, Supply Chain - Linen Services. Under close supervision of the Linen Services Group Leader/Supervisor, assembles, inspects and counts linen. Comprehends and demonstrates the delivery process for small orders as it relates to the Towline Operations for the Supply Chain Shared Service Center.

Education:



  • Requires the ability to read at minimum of 8th grade level, and mathematical ability of at least a 6th grade level


Knowledge:



  • Requires ability to read and understand English in order to follow instructions, job assignments, schedules and work orders.
  • Ability to utilize and understand universal safety precautions when delivering


Skills:



  • Must be able to count and accurately complete inventory sheets.
  • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors and other hospital employees.

Working Conditions:



  • Work requires lifting of 50 lbs., standing and/or walking for 100% of time.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there exposure to dust and noise.
  • Employees in this position will be required to adhere to work availability and departmental scheduling requirements.
  • This may include, but is not limited to, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays

Salary Range: Minimum 16.40/hour - Maximum 19.02/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
