Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.



Responsibilities

    Lead multi-disciplinary technical team supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island (NUWC).
  • Review and approve all mechanical engineering portions of technical data packages related to submarine launcher systems.
  • Conduct ship-checks and operation testing on-board and on land based test facilities.
  • Develop and conduct submarine crew operational, safety, maintenance and casualty training.
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings of systems
  • Complete engineering analysis packagegs for system components through Finite Element Analysis.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
  • Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Submarines
  • At least 7+ years experience in upgrading current and developing new submarine launcher systems.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
