About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Supervisor to join a growing managed services team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong supervisory experience and a solid background in both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). You'll play a key role in overseeing daily accounting functions, guiding junior team members, and ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and help expand the AR and AP teams (currently 1 AP staff; plan to hire 1-2 more AP and 2 more AR team members)

  • Oversee full-cycle AP including invoice processing, vendor management, coding, and reconciliations

  • Lead AR operations: collections, cash applications, billing, aging reports, and account reconciliations

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager (based in California) and provide regular updates

  • Support monthly close processes and ad hoc reporting

  • Ensure best practices and process improvements are implemented across the team

  • Train, mentor, and guide junior accounting staff

  • Leverage Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis

  • Use of SQL is a plus but not required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • Supervisory experience in a professional accounting or managed services setting

  • Strong background in Accounts Receivable preferred, with working knowledge of Accounts Payable

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with SQL is a plus

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
