Job Purpose

The Performance Director will lead a dynamic team of employees who will work seamlessly with the NY Electric Operations team to strategically analyze the organizations strength and weaknesses, leverage what is working well across the state, and mitigate risk to help enable meeting the organizations long term goals. This will be achieved through various platforms and programs initiated from internal and external team members. A crucial aspect to this position will be to build relationships with various stakeholders across the company.

Key Accountabilities
  • Engage effectively with the business, building sustainable relationships to enable collaborative working and ensure accountability for performance.
  • Primary point of contact for the team on all matters related to dashboard metrics, operational review meeting, NY electric initiatives, risk, and procurement KPI's.
  • Lead and/or assist with efforts in the area of safety, productivity, finance, training, and other key metric development & tracking mechanisms.
  • Assist with prioritizing and managing multiple special projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Support and enable the adoption of relevant processes across the operations.
  • Identify and escalate project risks, financial risks and employee resistance; work with relevant parties to develop change activities to mitigate risks.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
  • Influential, energetic, and enthusiastic leader, with the drive, ambition and resilience to deliver outstanding performance.
  • Advanced communication skills, facilitation experience and ability to mentor, coach and develop a diverse team of others.
  • Proven experience at influencing senior executives of the organization
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related area and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience in program management principles, tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of utility business operations, company policies and practices.
  • Familiar with Transmission and Distribution line and substation construction is a plus.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to divisional offices and other locations as required.
  • A valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
More Information

Salary: $187,000 - $220,000

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
