ABOUT THE POSITION

In 1993, Mountain Hardwear was founded and solely distributed by a select group of US wholesale accounts. Most of whom we're still in business with today. Our wholesale accounts are an integral connection between our outdoor community and the Mountain Hardwear brand. As we continue to grow, the success of our wholesale partners is as important as ever. Mountain Hardwear has been recently named as the most collaborative brand amongst the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance buying group. We are seeking to hire a Wholesale Marketing Specialist to elevate our efforts of driving the most authentic brand experience and sell through performance at the wholesale level. Be it digital or in-store, the Wholesale Marketing Specialist will work to ensure a healthy and sustainable development and execution of our US wholesale business plans.

As a member of the Marketing team and in service of our US Wholesale Sales partners, the Wholesale Marketing Specialist will assist in bringing the Mountain Hardwear brand to life through our US Wholesale channels, amplifying the brand and driving product conversion. This individual will assist in sell-through conversion of our US wholesale business. The Wholesale Marketing Specialist will serve as a coordinator between Mountain Hardwear's sales, marketing, and US Wholesale Accounts.

The Wholesale Marketing Specialist will focus their efforts on supporting the business by working directly with our US Wholesale account base to ensure they have the brand-right tools they need to have confident expressions of MHW, ultimately resulting in product conversion and brand affinity. Branded experiences include, but not limited to, in-store point of purchase tactics and brand communication, in-store events and activations, staff engagement and training, digital seasonal and brand assets, and on-site tradeshow activation and support. The right Wholesale Marketing Specialist will have a strong attention to detail and be an excellent communicator with the ability to track multiple projects at one time.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Account Marketing Plan Execution: Implement omni channel seasonal marketing plans to drive target sell-through benchmarks.See project through from managing and issuing allotted budget, executing defined tactics, measure and analyze impact.

  • Seasonal Asset Package & Deployment: Assist in packaging and distribution of Mountain Hardwear's seasonal creative assets, enabling account partners to effectively utilize them to connect with their consumers.

  • In-Store Branded Experience: Assist in the implementation of Mountain Hardwear's seasonal visual merchandising and brand expression goals. Ongoing workflow will include shop-in-shop coordination, signage development and updates, evergreen POP, window displays, and other in-store merchandising tactics.

  • Education and Training Programming: Assist in executing the creation of seasonal training materials incorporating technical details with new products and emphasizing feature benefits, enabling our retail partners to understand and confidently sell the brand. Measure seasonal usage rates and gather seasonal feedback from stakeholders to implement progression.

  • Wholesale Audience Community Building: Engage with staff from our retail partners, inviting them to participate within our brand ecosystem. Aim to gain mental space and position Mountain Hardwear as their favorite outdoor brand.Utilize our retail floor staff connection platform to drive connection and engagement with Mountain Hardwear, through seasonal challenges, initiatives, and rewards.

  • Trade Show Support: Provide occasional attendance and brand support for tradeshow deployment as needed.

  • Event Planning and Attendance: Plan and attend account-centric consumer or staff events, aiming to grow the brand and drive sales within strategic markets.

YOU ARE

  • Excited to learn new skills in brand and product marketing.

  • A have a strong connection to or understanding of mountain sports (climb, snow sports, trail, mountaineering, camp, etc.)

  • A strong communicator who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

YOUHAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field and/or 3-5 years professional experience minimum. Experience in related outdoor or sporting industry is beneficial.

  • A strong connection to or understanding of mountain sports (climb, snow sports, trail, mountaineering, camp, etc.).

  • High level of ownership of responsibilities, forward thinker, always working toward elevating brand opportunities.

  • Must possess strong communication skills and excellence in writing and editing.

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in an entrepreneurial, deadline-driven environment.

  • Maintain a high level of project ownership, accountability for product data, and project-based communication with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Be a product expert and share your expertise with other team members.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.

  • Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects with a high level of detail and quality.

  • Ability to stay informed on the latest marketing and industry trends.

  • 30% Travel to trade shows, account visits, activations, events, etc.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Understanding of Apple OS and Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Salary Range: $72,600 - $121,400 *Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate's capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
