Salem, NH (NEA) - Filling industrial How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Position Title: Regional Account Manager

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for supporting the Northeast Strategic Accounts team by addressing national account issues within the region, identifying opportunities and working with Area teams to grow sales.

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will work closely with the Director, Strategic Account Managers and other RAM's in the following areas:

  • Address issues from the region that involve national accounts to include improvements in the non- implemented business, account tracking and database management, communications with sales leaders and account managers for planning and targeting of business opportunities; tracking and implementation for cost savings goals and strategies within appropriate strategic accounts, sales support to SAM's with the region, work with existing support tools and assist in the design of better regional tools.

  • Develops and executes sales plans utilizing Airgas' sales directives and guidelines to grow Strategic and National business

  • Customer facing communications, the Position will work with Region and Area sales teams in managing strategic initiatives, new customer acquisition and sales growth

  • Establishes and maintains clear and consistent communication with internal departments relative to customer successes, customer opportunities, new customer developments and other customer information

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to confidently participate and contribute to area sales cadence and customer / opportunity monitoring across Northeast areas and teams

  • Experience successfully working within teams along with demonstrated ability to remain extremely proactive within an independent set of responsibilities

  • Present national rollouts to the regional sales teams, manage the implementation steps of each rollout and report progress as required.

  • Assist SAM's with regional and national conference calls to establish planning to implement all business strategies as discussed.

  • Assist with regional cost savings for national accounts.

  • Be a regional go to person for information regarding national accounts as well as provide background research to SAM's on various data required to determine business position for review and decision.

  • Direct price increases and price verifications of national accounts to maximize the impact for the region.

  • Work with regional customer service personnel and the branches to uphold the integrity of national accounts data and terms and conditions of the agreements.

  • Work with local account managers to report national account participation within our region.

  • Work with larger multi-state regional customers to support directed sales activities.

  • Assist and coordinate with the BSC and national data integrity team for the support of all regional and national accounts.

  • Work with A/R to improve collection effort.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

  • High School diploma of equivalent required / Associate's preferred.

  • 3-5 years industry experience required.

  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong SAP skills required.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Positive attitude that can adapt to an ever changing environment and fast paced culture.

  • Must be able to deal effectively with people, communicate clearly orally and in writing.

  • Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical and planning skills
