Position Title: Quality Improvement Specialist I

Work Location: Remote - Texas (Candidate must live in Texas)

Assignment Duration: 3 months to start (Potential to extend: Yes)

Work Schedule: 8-5 M-F, OT may be offered, but is not required

Work Arrangement: Remote

Position Summary:

Primarily on the phone/emailing with providers confirming members and requesting medical records. Project requests over 500,000 medical records with a 90% goal.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Documenting work in web portal and internal applications.



  • Performing claims research internally and web/google research to find most up-to-date information for providers.



  • Other projects as assigned including renaming PDF files and working in Excel, OneDrive




Qualification & Experience:




  • Required Skills/Experience: Customer Service Experience (call center not required), Attention to Detail, More than beginner Excel experience, Good Computer Skills, Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/structure



  • Education Requirement: High school diploma or GED



  • Software Skills Required: Excel, vendor portals/proprietary software, Zoom, Outlook, Teams
