Description

Each year, our team empowers children and families in Kansas, Missouri, and beyond through three key service areas:
- Youth & Family Support - We help youth gain independence through social and living support programs while empowering families with the skills and resources they need to become resilient and successful.
- Foster Care & Adoption - We reunify and unite families while recruiting and providing support to foster parents and youth in foster care.
- Education & Community Trainings - We help students achieve academic success while giving educators the tools to create safe learning environments to improve their students' behaviors and offer innovative learning opportunities to build and improve knowledge in the community.
We are seeking a Treatment Foster Care Admissions Specialist to join our team. Your role will manage referrals and placements for youth in our Treatment Foster Care program. This role involves evaluating referrals, coordinating admissions and financial eligibility, maintaining accurate reports and data, and supporting foster families through licensing, training, and respite tracking. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge of trauma-informed care and child development, and the ability to work across departments and with community stakeholders. A valid driver's license and familiarity with insurance and billing practices are required. As a member of the Department of Youth and Family Support team, you will work with 19 other team members and report to our Treatment Foster Care Manager. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Review referrals for Treatment Foster Care youth and evaluate their suitability to ensure the best possible match with an appropriate Treatment Foster Home, following established best practices.
- Maintain frequent communication with guardians of youth referred for services.
- Coordinate pre-admission, admission and re-authorization of financial eligibility for each youth enrolled in the program.
- Work collaboratively across program lines to ensure program needs are met. This may include but is not limited to Finance, Foster Care Case Management, and Outpatient.
- Reconcile TFC parent payments
WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant work experience and the following:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening
- A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
