DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this rewarding full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the department's operations including strategic planning, regulatory compliance, financial management, and service delivery. This involves developing and implementing departmental goals, managing budgets and state/federal grants, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient and effective transportation services across the county. You will also be responsible for creating budgets, completing grant applications and vehicle bids/procurements, and overseeing vehicle maintenance. Our team will rely on you to collaborate closely with the Human Services Administrator and other county departments, represent the Transportation Department in public and intergovernmental forums, and ensure high standards of safety, service quality, and operational effectiveness. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Employees may have overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work in a public or private organization, including experience in personnel management, budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
