THE POSITION

As a Clerical Supervisor 1, your leadership skills and meticulous attention to detail will be essential as you manage a team focused on analyzing and resolving exceptions related to electronically generated images of checks and documents within the imaging repository. Furthermore, you will supervise staff responsible for preparing source documents from the Bureau of Driver Licensing and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for imaging into various departmental systems, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the images produced. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will take charge of organizing the daily operations of the Exceptions team and implementing policies that impact the unit's functionality. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research for customers when transactions cannot be accessed through microfilm or other systems, making pivotal decisions to boost overall productivity. This role also involves maintaining equipment and refining workflows to enhance customer service quality. Furthermore, you will manage employee leave requests, address personnel issues, make disciplinary decisions, and oversee union-related matters. Similarly, you will oversee the daily activities of the Scanning team and enforce policies that influence the unit's effectiveness. You will utilize the necessary resources to research customer applications and identify any challenges with incoming work, making well-informed decisions to address these issues efficiently.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
