Home Office based positions: Hannaford offers a flexible work environment, with a hybrid work expectation for Home Office based positions of being physically present in the Scarborough Home Office 3 days a week. Position Summary: As a strategic partner, the Human Resources Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management across retail and corporate. Acts as employee champion and change agent. Assesses and anticipates HR-related needs in the areas of strategy, policy, process, procedures, projects, compliance, and audits. Seeks to develop integrated solutions by communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management. Formulates partnerships across the HR function and other key functional areas of the brand to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives and values of the organization. Ensures policy and legal compliance, along with best practice. Provides strategic planning, development, and implementation of corporate and/or retail goals. Collaborates and provides link to other corporate human resources functions (talent, compensation, learning, employment, health and wellness, communications, etc.). Primary Duties and Responsibilities: >Key focus areas include development, maintenance, oversight of strategy, policy, process, procedures, projects, compliance and audits. > As needed, partners with and provides collaborative support to retail and corporate to resolve complex employee relations issues and or helps to advance HR initiatives in these areas. > Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning. > Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal department as needed/required. > Provides advice, counsel, and recommendations to line management on HR best practice. > Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. > Maintains solid relationships with business partners to ensure services received and delivered are consistent with business needs. > Uses technical knowledge to collaborate and effectively negotiate effective service flow. >Brings together skills and talents of different people to achieve goals. >Project manages HR policy review, practices, procedures, programs, and initiatives that are in alignment with Human Resource strategy and legal compliance expectations. > Co-creates and delivers HR training and development programs to help strengthen consistency in practice and overall compliance. > Ensures legal compliance at corporate and/or retail on HR issues from a policy, process, procedure, audit perspective. > Promotes best practice approaches to human relations at corporate and/or retail. > Represents HR on various business committees on an as needed basis. > Assists entire system through change and transition. Designs and/or implements process and systems for effective information flow and sharing. > Designs and delivers effective HR interventions on individual, group, and department level. > Collaborates with HR professionals across the organization on projects, etc. > Grows organizational capacity to address HR related topics and concerns in ways that ensure fairness, dignity, respect, consistency, and integrity. > Merges strategic planning with the need of daily operations. >Role models organizational values. Qualifications and Experience: > Bachelor's degree in a related area. > 5+ years of related experience. > Knowledge of federal and state regulations, labor laws including EEO and ADA compliance, FMLA, FLSA. Preferred: > Master's degree in HR, Industrial Relations or another related field. Skills and Abilities: > Strong analytical skills with ability to solve problems. > Strong people skills with ability to interact with leadership and associates at all levels. > Strong presentation and communication skills > Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks. > Ability to influence people and organization. > Ethical/ sense of integrity. > Maintain high level of confidentiality. The Salary Range for this Position is $108,880 - $163,320
