As the leader of our dispatch and logistics team, you'll ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective movement of trucks, autos, and freight between ocean terminals, warehouses, and rail ramps. Lead Auto Transport with Confidence You'll be at the center of a complex logistics network-where timing, cost control, and service excellence all come together. Oversee Dispatch Operations: Manage terminal-to-terminal and terminal-to-dealer deliveries for West Coast-Hawaii routes and Southern California dealers. Optimize Logistics Performance: Track and improve KPIs such as drayage costs, per diem expenses, transit times, and vendor efficiency. Strengthen Customer Service: Provide clear E.T.A. updates, resolve issues quickly, and implement best practices for seamless delivery. Manage Teams & Vendors: Supervise dispatch staff, drivers, and vendor partners to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accountability. Ensure Operational Continuity: Oversee fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, and backup training for key logistics functions. Monitor & Report KPIs: Analyze costs, timelines, and productivity, turning insights into action. Solve in Real Time: Proactively identify and resolve disruptions before they impact service. Champion Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement new strategies to elevate service and performance. Bring the Skills That Keep Auto Transport Moving This role calls for deep logistics knowledge, leadership strength, and operational expertise to manage high-volume transport across multiple locations. Industry Experience: 5+ years in dispatching and line haul carriage operations plus 2+ years of supervisory leadership. Operational Knowledge: Experience in vehicle capacity planning, delivery scheduling, and third-party vendor management. Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field required. Valid driver's license and TWIC card required. Skills & Tools: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) at a basic to intermediate level. The salary range listed is based on the geographic zone associated with this role:National City, CA. Starting pay will be determined by job-related factors including experience, education, and business needs and may be modified at any time. Zone 2: $95,000 - $110,000 This job is also eligible for participation in an Incentive Plan with a target payout based on eligible compensation and corporate/individual performance goal attainment.
