Overview To assist with planning, managing, and directing Navy Federal's security force teams and ensuring the safety of employees, members and physical assets at designated Navy Federal locations. Manage daily activities of professional employees and supervisors. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Security Force team at designated site location to include staff scheduling/patrols, equipment testing and special event coordination
- Manage the control of access management systems (e.g., access assignments, staff schedules, problem identification/resolution, and equipment and software functionality and testing)
- Oversee the execution of the new hire onboarding process including background checks, fingerprinting, ID badge issuance, vehicle registration and decaling, etc.
- Manage response during disaster situations at designated site location and direct supervisors and staff to execute established recovery plans in collaboration with Navy Federal functional areas, external law enforcement and first responders
- Oversee monitoring of the Remote ATM Alarm System and Global Monitoring duties for worldwide branch network
- Oversee shredding and destruction of confidential documents
- Provide onsite direction to supervisors and staff for medical and other emergencies; ensure staging area is established for first responders
- Manage special event security including crowd and traffic control functions
- Provide guidance to other sections within Security as well as to other business units and manage physical security support (e.g., reporting maintenance issues, providing escorts, etc.)
- Manage requests for copies of video from security camera system by Employee Relations, General Counsel, external law firms and law enforcement agencies; provide guidance to supervisors fulfilling and responding to requests
- Manage evidence collection process for Employee Relations in support of employee conduct investigations, and ADA Complaints
- Ensure that work quality, work methods, procedures and processes meet business goals and standards of member service
- Review standard and ad hoc reports and data summaries from supervisors on section/branch performance; present regularly to manager and other Security leadership
- Support projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
- Develop and recommend new programs to enhance the performance and efficiency of Security Force operations
- Maintain equipment inventory and requisition supplies as needed
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and NFCU policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- Extensive experience in law enforcement or private corporate security operations
- Extensive experience leading and/or supervising a security force operation, preferably in a large financial institution
- Advanced knowledge of physical security functions, systems, processes and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of physical security industry best practices
- Working knowledge of the design, installation and operation of security systems and related equipment
- Significant experience supervising and/or leading employees
- Significant experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders and vendors
- Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR/AED Certifications
- Required - Valid State of Residence Driver's License

- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

- Unarmed or Armed Security Guard/Officer Certification
