Responsibilities

Provides a welcoming and supportive experience for all patients, families, visitors, and staff. Carries out all administrative/clerical activities required to maintain continuity and organizational support across sites.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling/rescheduling.
  • Answer/transfer calls and voicemails appropriately, greet patients/families/guests/staff in a customer-friendly, professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming waiting space for patients and guests.
  • Review and obtain appropriate forms and identification for patient appointments.
  • Distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence including email, mail, and faxes.
  • Collect copays due at time of check-in.
  • Process Release of Information forms.
  • Assist patients by troubleshooting for any telehealth appointment issues.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are appropriately addressed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with admissions process by contacting families and preparing materials.
  • Responsible for completing inventory as needed.
  • General administrative/clerical duties to support program, such as: data entry and scanning, responding to requestes, updating calendars for providers, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1-2 years' experience in healthcare support preferred
  • Must have excellent customer services skills.
  • Ability to processes charts and related documents with concrete variables in standardized situations and apply problem solving techniques to those situations that go beyond this scope
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Compensation for this role ranges from $18-$23 per hour depending on education and experience.
