About Stewart: Student Intern, Planning This position is a temporary, full-time summer student internship working 40 hours a week (estimated dates May 2026 - August 2026). As a Planning Student Intern, you will enhance your planning knowledge by helping communities throughout the state. You will work side by side with our professional planning staff, attend client meetings, and participate in public engagement activities. Position Responsibilities: In this role, you will be part of a world-class Planning team, bringing high-quality designs to life for our amazing clients. This position will expose you to most aspects of Planning including coordinating activities for municipal and public projects and researching development codes. Your excellent communication skills will be put to good use, as you will be coordinating and collaborating with a variety of professionals. Position Qualifications:
Working Conditions and Physical Demands: You are willing and able to work in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels and consistent exposure to light, both natural and artificial. Workstations are in an open space layout with frequent collaboration and interactions from co-workers throughout the day. Within the office, you are willing and able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Additional requirements include providing on-site technical assistance by occasionally accessing client or construction sites with varying terrain.
