Chemical Powder Blender

Needs 4 people, food background preferred but open to training the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately weigh, measure, and blend raw chemical powders according to batch instructions or formulations.
• Operate blenders, mixers, sifters, and related material handling equipment.
• Monitor blending processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with product specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records, including batch sheets, weights, and lot numbers.
• Ensure work area is clean and equipment is properly maintained between batches to prevent contamination.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and use of PPE.
• Label and package finished blends for storage or shipping.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Previous experience in chemical blending, food processing, pharmaceuticals, or related manufacturing fields preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and reaching.
• Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) and basic chemical safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions or batch formulations.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Forklift Experience preferred.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Forklift certification or material handling experience.
• Experience using scales, mixers, or industrial blending equipment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or ISO standards.
• Experience with inventory tracking or batch recording systems.

Work Environment:

• Industrial or chemical production facility.
• Exposure to dust, noise, and temperature fluctuations.
• May require use of respirators or other PPE depending on materials handled.
