We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to join the Fleet Support Team (FST) for NAVAIR's Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program (PMA-262). In this role, you will provide hands-on technical expertise to support the MQ-4C Triton system at NAS Jacksonville. You will play a critical role in ensuring system readiness, supporting Fleet operators and maintainers, and maintaining secure and reliable enterprise networks across laboratories, test facilities, and aircraft environments at both unclassified and classified levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day system administration support for Triton ground and airborne systems, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform cybersecurity compliance duties, including system scans, patch management, STIG compliance, and documentation updates.
  • Support Fleet installations, upgrades, and modifications for Triton IFC-4 Increment I & II configurations.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of system/network issues in coordination with engineering, cybersecurity, and OEM teams.
  • Maintain configuration control of systems, ensuring accurate records of baselines, changes, and software versions.
  • Provide technical support to Fleet operators and maintainers, serving as the first line of engineering liaison between the Fleet and NAVAIR program office.
  • Assist in the development and validation of test plans, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support Fleet sustainment.
  • Participate in system readiness events, technical reviews, and Fleet training as needed.
  • Support lab and field environments to replicate Fleet issues, validate fixes, and verify system upgrades prior to Fleet release.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, reports, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Travel (up to 10%) may be required to support Fleet installations, training, or troubleshooting at operational sites.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration of enterprise networks, servers, or mission systems, required. Previous experience supporting the MQ-4C Triton program is highly desired.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with network administration, including switches, firewalls, and secure communications systems.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity practices, including STIG compliance, ACAS scans, and patch management.
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, installations, and modifications in lab or operational environments.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware or similar) and system configuration management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system/network issues and coordinate with engineering and cybersecurity teams.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification, required.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $90,000 - $105,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
