From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Production Scheduler based in Londonderry, NH.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for updating and maintaining the daily production and processing schedules. This position plays a critical role in coordinating the supply chain, ensuring that the proper milk bases are available to coincide with planned production. The scheduler also manages the flow of materials through the facility by verifying raw ingredients and packaging, handling schedule changes, and controlling losses.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality as defined in plant and department procedures.
  • Release all milk orders and create milk batches for consumption.
  • Verify paperwork and documentation from the Processing and Quality departments.
  • Keep key users and shift managers informed of any issues or changes to the production schedule.
  • Perform daily checks to ensure accuracy between processing and packaging orders.
  • Assist the Processing leadership in gathering scheduling information required for daily meetings.
  • Lead meetings to communicate current status and issues, run orders, and discrepancies.
  • Confirm that the production line schedule aligns with the white mass requirements.
  • Understand the material ordering process and the function of the off-site materials warehouse.
  • Validate the number of pallets produced and consume materials into the production order.
  • Confirm that production orders are complete, closed out, and verify high loss numbers for accounting purposes.
  • Manage all production documents to support and assist with traceability audits.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) tool.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce/eliminate production waste and spoilage.
  • Support environmental programs established within the organization to include recycling of all office wastes in accordance with program guidelines, initiate power conservation techniques by turning off lights and computers when not in use.
  • Proactively look for ways to support our Mission, including reducing negative impacts on the environment.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Extended hours may be necessary depending on the project needs.
  • To fulfill these responsibilities, tools such as a computer will be provided.
  • To fulfill these responsibilities, a cell phone is required.
  • This position requires physical presence in the plant 5 days per week.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with 3 years of experience in a supply chain role in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong planning skills to effectively schedule production by considering plant capabilities, stock levels, supply chain and demand needs, and planned maintenance.
  • Knowledge of production processes with the ability to foresee the consequences of your decisions.
  • Excellent analytical skills to review data from multiple sources, using spreadsheets or other data management tools to find insights.
  • A keen eye for detail to process and interpret data, create effective reports, and understand how inaccurate data can impact company systems and statistics.
  • Skilled at managing stock levels to minimize waste and prevent products from being out of stock.
  • Sound decision-making abilities to evaluate options, weighing the pros and cons to make the best logical choice.
  • A natural leader and role model who can positively influence others, energize a team, and enhance their ability to contribute to shared goals.
  • Highly organized and methodical to effectively prioritize tasks and allocate time and resources to meet specific objectives.
  • A great problem-solver who can develop a logical approach to situations by assessing the issue, identifying causes, and targeting solutions, using both your own knowledge and other resources.
  • Adaptable and flexible to proactively adjust schedules, realign priorities, and change work practices without causing confusion.
