Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for
TRIO
THRIVE Student Support Services (
SSS). Reporting to the Director of
THRIVE Student Support Services (
SSS), the Senior Program Coordinator applies a success coaching model to planning and implementing academic support services that guide the educational and personal development for
THRIVE
SSS scholars. This position designs and executes comprehensive programming for the unit, focusing on professional and career skills, preparation for post-graduate studies, and academic success initiatives that primarily engage and support third and fourth-year students in
THRIVE
SSS.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Coordinates and implements tutoring support for program participants.
- Partners with the Director to develop curriculum, logistical planning, and execution of large-scale and/or extended (including evening and weekend) academic and success initiatives to meet program goals, focused on retention, academic progress and timely degree completion.
- Carries out routine and semi-routine work within work parameters including coordinating a robust academic support program component, supervision of part-time undergraduate staff and gathering relevant content resources and data management.
- Performs professional level work that requires knowledge of best practices for supporting the retention and graduation of first-generation and low-income students.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Two years of experience providing academic, program, and personal support and services.
