Sr Practicum to Graduate Nurse Pipeline Program

During this program, the nursing student will commit to completing their Senior Practicum on a designated floor. Upon successful completion of their Senior Practicum, and after taking the NCLEX and becoming licensed as an RN, the student will transition into a Staff Nurse I role on that floor.

*This program is available to UVM, Norwich and VTSU Castleton senior nursing students.

Start dates below are not able to be amended, due to training and orientation.

Staff Nurse I Job Description:

Provides entry level professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness. Working closely with the preceptor during the initial orientation period, the Staff Nurse I functions as an essential member of nursing and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients and families, teaching, and preparation for continuing care after discharge.
