Essential Job Duties |
Duties Include:
- Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs on Integrated Pest Management (IPM), with emphasis on emerging and advanced technologies.
- Design and conduct organized educational events including in-person and online workshops, conferences, seminars, and short courses.
- Create and disseminate educational materials such as fact sheets, publications, presentations, and digital content tailored to IPM audiences.
- Collaborate with faculty, specialists, stakeholders, and community partners to identify needs and align programming with current issues in IPM.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technology-enhanced tools into program delivery.
- Collect and analyze evaluation data to assess program impact, effectiveness, and reach.
- Maintain up-to-date subject matter expertise in IPM and related technological advancements.
- Provide timely communication, guidance, and support to IPM stakeholders (growers, educators, industry, agencies, and the public).
- Report outcomes and impacts of Extension programming to stakeholders and funding agencies.
- Travel as needed to support Extension programming across the region or state.

Minimum Experience/Education |
- MS degree in Entomology, Weed Science, Plant Pathology, or other related field.

- 5 years of experience working in pest-management related field
- Performed comprehensive literature reviews to determine known distribution, biology, damage potential, means of movement and dispersal, control of pests and / or hosts
- Must be able to work independently to collect data, analyze, and summarize results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in pest management and agriculture
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Basic experience with communication tools (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Office)
