Responsibilities

Summary:
The Director of Contract Administration and Compliance is responsible for directing the daily issues of Contract Administration and serves as a liaison between contract clients and the field. Supervisory responsibilities integral to this position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Contract Administration and Compliance Director oversees the management of an internal team engaged in development and support of contract management. Performs duties typically expected of a director, including performance reviews, project planning, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and process improvements.
  • Oversees the process for identifying short and long-term objectives and developing comprehensive strategies to achieve them.
  • The Contract Administration and Compliance Director is a point for contact and collaborates with other departments to successfully administer GEO's contracts.
  • Responsible for assisting and supervising the review of responses to proposals and new contracts to identify potential issues and company responsibilities.
  • Works with the company's finance team to assist in the collection of outstanding accounts receivable.
  • The Contract Administration and Compliance Director communicates with clients to address contractual concerns, strengthen client relationships, and build trust in the company.
  • Serves as a point of contact to regional offices and facilities.
  • The Contract Administration and Compliance Director is responsible for assisting in the department's annual budget.
  • Directs development and preparation of tracking reports and other reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in a professional level capacity with exposure procurement or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity. Extensive knowledge of federal acquisition process, government contracting principles, and governing regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulation).Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet critical deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of contracting principals.
  • Experience in management and administrative procedures, with strong analytical and writin skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Regular travel with overnight stays required.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
