POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Brandywine's Enrollment Management department is seeking an Admissions Counselor to join a dynamic group of admissions professionals.This position will recruit mainly first year students from Brandywine's service area and assigned out-of-state territories. Successful candidates must be able to conduct presentations to a wide range of audiences, work well in a team environment, and autonomously manage assigned recruitment territory from prospect to committed student. The ideal candidate will be data driven and goal-oriented, have excellent customer-service skills, and have a track record of working effectively with students from all cultural and economic backgrounds.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combinesremoteand on-campus work.Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing relationships with high school counselors and Penn State out-of-state recruiters

  • Dedicated and consistent outreach to prospective students through various channels

  • Participating in related retention initiatives

  • Attending high school college fairs and prospective student receptions

  • Coordinating and performing individual high school presentations to prospective students

  • Attending and assisting with on-campus recruitment, and yield events

  • Schedule, plan and execute all virtual programming and events

  • Present at various recruitment events

Emphasis will be on serving a first year student population.

Familiarity with CRM (Slate), and presentation software is preferred.

This position will require occasional weekend and evening work, including overnight travel approximately 15% of the time.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
