The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Seeking a highly motivated Technician B. The Technician will receive training from the Clinical Research Core and work directly with Principal Investigators and other entities as needed for the research protocols. Previous experience working in clinical trials is preferred.

Responsibilities



  • Clearly and effectively communicate with study sponsors, clinicians, and other health care providers, ancillary staff, sponsors, and research office staff under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Research Quality and Compliance.
  • Maintain electronic and paper regulatory documents and binders.
  • Ensures that research personnel complete the required research training for participation in clinical research, including but not limited to, Human Subjects Protection training.
  • Instruct and assist investigators and other research staff in maintaining required regulatory training courses.
  • Perform IRB submission and address correspondence including modifications, renewals, annual reports, and study closure under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Research Quality and Compliance.
  • Assist with collection of regulatory documents.
  • Initiate protocol renewals and amendments with documents version controls.
  • Tracking expiration of medical licenses, CVs, and laboratory accreditation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-through of assigned projects.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • One year of related experience.
  • Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques.

  • Ability to perform work in a neat and orderly manner in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic understanding of elementary science.
  • High level of initiative and willingness to collaborate with team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professional with different levels of staff and students.
  • Intermediate to advanced level MS Office and Adobe skills.
