POSITION SUMMARY:
The parts room attendant is responsible for receiving and tracking MRO supplies within the facility. Ensure the correct material is received in the right quantity and proper storage locations are recorded. Track and report errors, omissions, and damage of incoming freight. Perform cycle count and report errors of critical spares.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Receive and process inventory for parts room and ensure timely receipt and distribution of packages.
  • Issues equipment and tools to employees, and to departments for the operation of their shift.
  • Inventories, stocks, and advises supervision when orders are needed.
  • Keeps the daily issued items supply replenished.
  • Inspects used parts and equipment and sends them out for repair if necessary.
  • Maintain 98% cycle count accuracy level.
  • Supports Maintenance in the research for parts and determines alternative sources if needed.
  • May perform blade sharpening timely to meet production needs.
  • Occasional overtime (weekends, nights) may be required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of converting experience with knowledge of equipment and operating supplies required.
  • Mechanical skills/ maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of tools and fasteners preferred.
  • Operates computer and enter information in EAM.
  • Good communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Self-directed and able to work with limited supervision.Microsoft computer proficiency.

  • Must be able to communicate face-to-face.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant standing. Occasional to frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, calculate and analyze.
  • Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Rockline divisions and levels of responsibilities in problem solving as well as participation in collaborative activities.
