SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Control Tester to inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods ensuring they meet established quality standards and specifications.Key duties include performing tests, analyzing results, documenting issues, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with production to identify and correct defects, requiring strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.Qualified candidate will perform Quality Control Testing in two or more of the following product lines: Explosive Shaped Charges, Detonators, Power Charges, Pipe Recovery Devices or Liners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs assigned tests on product where results are compared with company quality standards.
  • Reports results to Production Manager, Supervisor or Lead Person, and notify Engineering when results are not up to quality standards.
  • Oversee critical points in the manufacturing process to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production standards.
  • Ensure all testing and procedures follow established safety guidelines, industry standards, and quality management systems.
  • Inspects product visually for obvious defects.
  • Performs in-process inspection and testing where required to determine quality of product during manufacturing process.
  • Notifies Manufacturing Engineer or other Engineering personnel when inspection data are outside acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.
  • Records test results on inspection forms and reports any defects found.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical school degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control Testing in a manufacturing environment required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Must be able to read and follow written procedures and instructions.
  • Must be able to record test data accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • The ability to work well within a TEAM environment is required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Proficiency in using standard testing equipment and measurement tools, such as calipers and gauges.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret technical information, and identify the root causes of problems.
  • A meticulous approach to inspection and data recording is crucial.
  • The ability to manage time, organize tasks, and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

  • Dexterity and precision required to operate measuring tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to pass a company physical and respirator fit test.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

    • Steel toe safety shoes
