This amazing opportunity is part of Seagate's Equipment Development Engineering organization. We develop state of the art equipment to enable low cost component assembly and test utilized in the drive factories. Our group has been designing equipment used in the assembly and testing of drive components for over 20 years.

About the role - you will:

The candidate for this role will need a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, be capable assembling and testing precision automation systems, providing electro-mechanical troubleshooting support, project management, writing Purchase requests, and assist in creating documentation.



You will support the development of manufacturing processes, conduct experiments, adjust and optimize products, instruments, and equipment.



Activities will range from supporting equipment conversions to supporting assembly and testing of new designs. Individual will need to be comfortable working with small parts sometimes under microscope, operating automation equipment, assembling and debugging electrical systems, and working in clean room.

Your experience includes:

  • Experience with assembling and testing precision mechanical systems
  • Creating, optimizing, and documenting assembly procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues
  • Providing design feedback to engineering
  • Ability to operate electronic test equipment

Location:

The estimated base wage range for this position is $24.00/hr - $34.40/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
