Job Statement

Those persons possessing the title of Quality Engineer 2 are involved in proposed process analysis and approval, current process analysis and preventive/corrective action, process revision analysis and approval as well as product discrepancy documentation and the customer interaction associated with the implementation of internal/customer driven corrective action. Quality Engineers perform a wide variety of tasks. Some may perform highly specialized activities frequently and other duties infrequently or never. The desire to achieve process efficiency may drive specialization. The more widely diverse an incumbent's skills, abilities and training or the more the incumbent excels at a certain area of specialization the more value that individual presents to the organization, the higher level they attain.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible to document and maintain AS9102 first article reports including "red ball" first article drawings.
  • Responsible to document, investigate, submit and follow-up on customer and supplier non-conformance issues and complaint reports.
  • Responsible to participate in internal MRB activities.
  • Some Q.E. 2 are expected to follow-up to verify that internal/supplier corrective actions have been effective.
  • interpret engineering drawings, specifications, planning, work instructions and to work with management and manufacturing/tooling engineering staff in order to determine quality standards and quality assurance documentation requirements.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, work orders and manufacturing sketches.
  • Review and define SPC / MSA requirements on drawings, models, work orders and sketches.
  • Quality Engineer may be expected to conduct internal and supplier Quality System audits independently or in cooperation with ADI's Quality Management System Administration.
  • Analyze data and create charts or graphs communicating process and/or department status.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as they are assigned by supervision.

Requirements / Specifications

  • Must possess the ability to work in a "team" environment to resolve an array of issues.
  • Required to have 5 years minimum experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment (candidates possessing less than 5 years experience may be considered if that experience has been directly and specifically related to the exact type of work they will be expected to perform at ADI).
  • Must understand G,D,&T including Aerospace customer drawings, models, specifications and purchase order requirements.
  • Quality Engineer will be expected to understand the intent and application of the AS9100 Aerospace Standard.
  • Competent in Internet and Microsoft computer software applications.
  • Able to multi-task and to operate successfully in a dynamic environment characterized by a continual and overriding sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to competently communicate technical requirements and discuss those requirements in English.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $85300 to $127900 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
