Job Summary

Mesa Community College is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and enthusiastic Recruiter to join our team in identifying and supporting prospective students to achieve their academic and career goals.

The Recruiter position plays a vital role in achieving the college's enrollment goals through strategic outreach, relationship-building, and personalized guidance of new and returning students. This position is responsible for outreach and recruitment of prospective new and returning students, fostering connections with area high schools, conducting campus tours, attending college fairs and community events, while providing a high level of proactive support from application to successful enrollment at Mesa Community College.

Essential Functions

45% Develops, coordinates, and implements strategies for the recruitment of new and returning students in alignment with MCCCD/MCC strategic enrollment plan and department goals. Informs new students and families of the admissions requirements, transfer guidelines, Financial Aid (FAFSA), and scholarship information to create a seamless transition from application through enrollment; provides enrollment advising in group and 1:1 settings; travels to and presents information about MCC at recruitment fairs, community events, high schools, and other outreach events; builds and maintains strong working relationships with partner high schools, community partners, workforce agencies, and other organizations identified in the college's strategic enrollment plan.

30% Completes critical tasks in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool on a daily basis (e.g. email correspondence, requests for more information, and call/text campaigns); track student participation from application to enrollment by using various data tracking systems; analyze enrollment data, conduct market analysis, and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies; develops targeted enrollment and re-enrollment campaigns to engage prospective student pipelines, recent stop-outs, and other retention-related efforts.

15% Plans and coordinates recruitment programs and events, campus tours, and supports other campus events, including coordinating logistics, scheduling, and participant communications, delivers effective and engaging presentations to a diverse population of prospective students, parents, counselors, and community members; designs, develops, maintains, and delivers program resource information, campus and community communications, other promotional materials, and may support general website maintenance.

10% Works collaboratively with Enrollment Services departments (A&R, Financial Aid, Testing, Cashiers, Advising, etc.), academic programs, Marketing, and other key MCC/MCCCD departments/councils to support college initiatives and goal; provides cross-collaborative support during peak registration, special events (new student welcome room, orientation, welcome week, dual enrollment onboarding) or other MCC/MCCCD events; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of Higher Education.
B. One (1) or more years of experience recruiting prospective students in an educational environment.
C. One (1) or more years of experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
D. One (1) or more years of experience conducting Financial Aid outreach and supporting students with FAFSA completion.
E. One (1) or more years of experience participating in the creation and development of a strategic enrollment plan.

Special Working Conditions

Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense.

Work schedule varies, may be required to work evenings and weekends

Frequent travel between multiple MCC campuses and assigned outreach territory, and other various locations.

May work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions.

May be required to lift or carry up to #25 lbs.

This position is not eligible for remote work.
