Job Duties:
The Waisman Center is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about human development, developmental disabilities, and neurodegenerative diseases throughout the lifespan. One of 15 centers of its kind in the United States, the Waisman Center encompasses laboratories for biomedical and behavioral research, several scientific research cores, and a clinical biomanufacturing facility for the production of pharmaceuticals for early stage human clinical trials. In addition to its research efforts, the Center provides an array of services to people with developmental disabilities, offers numerous educational and outreach programs to young children and their families, and trains scientists and clinicians who will serve our nation in the future. This position provides technical and research expertise and support to a multi-site National Institutes of Health (NIH) Autism Center of Excellence research program that is studying aging in autistic adults across the adult lifespan. The Researcher is responsible for performing standardized neuropsychological assessments and collecting various types of data (e.g., interview, questionnaire, direct assessment, clinical, brain MRI and metabolic data, etc.) Additionally, the Researcher is responsible for participant and Study-Partner recruitment and management, processing and analyzing study data and preparing data and results for NIH and other progress reports and publications. Key Job Responsibilities:
Waisman Center Compensation:$60,000 minimum; Salary is negotiable and will be based on education, experience and skills. Required Qualifications:Four or more years of research experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary collaborative autism research team and conducting neuropsychological assessments of older autistic youth and/or adults.
