Job Description

The Director of National Accounts - Residential Metal Roofing (RMR) has responsibility for maintaining and growing large National/Regional Distributors and Home Centers.

The RMR Home Center Team will report to the Director of National Accounts, and they will be responsible for managing and growing this critical "big boxes" business. In addition, the RMR Non-Home Center team will also report to the Director of National Accounts, and they will be responsible for building key executive relationships with our largest existing Distributors and building new relationships with new large National Distributors.

Both teams will partner with the Regional Sales Managers to drive growth in both Distribution and Home Centers. This is a key role on the RMR Leadership Team and will interact weekly with the Vice President of RMR to help drive the overall business. They will also be responsible for supporting M&A activities as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate short term and long-range plans to increase RMR growth within Distribution and Home Centers
  • Oversee management of the RMR Home Center Team
  • Develop and maintain executive level relationships with all assigned customers
  • Pursue large new Distribution opportunities
  • Monitor and bring visibility to market trends that can or will impact the business
  • Leverage existing Cornerstone Building Brands relationships to accelerate growth
  • Work collaboratively within a matrix structure with functions such as: Marketing, Sales, and Sales Enablement to ensure delivery of our Speed & Ease value proposition to the market
  • Collaborate with and leverage the RMR outside sales management team to drive customer growth
  • Support rebate programs that drive account growth
  • Provide market insights, competitive analysis, and customer intelligence
  • Actively participate as a key leader on the RMR Leadership Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or other related field, plus 10 years of experience (sales/marketing) including at least 3 years of sales management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of Retail (Home center) experience is required
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in a matrix organization
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and drive results. Adapting strategy and approaches needed
  • Strategic thinker, able to see the long-term picture and understand how to position the business for success
  • Proven sales ability - able to grow markets, build relationships and demonstrated ability to deliver profitable growth
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, mentor, and motivate a team
  • Customer-centric with the ability to balance internal objectives with customer desires
  • Digitally savvy, understands technology trends and can recommend ways to leverage adjacent and emerging solutions to solve customer issues and drive internal efficiencies
  • MS Office applications and CRM tools - Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time

The US average base salary for this role is $175K - 220K + sales incentive + auto allowance + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
