Waterjet Machine Operator 1st Shift

Location: Kennesaw, GA
Shift: 1st Shift
Compensation: $21 per hour

Join our team and put your machining expertise to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. We're looking for a skilled Waterjet Operator who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and safety while working with advanced machinery and tools.

• Operate precision tool machining equipment by monitoring feed rates, speeds, and specialized instruments.

• Perform detailed inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, make specification edits, and assist with machine maintenance.

• Perform preventive maintenance, keeping machines clean and work areas safe.

• Meet production goals, including cycle time, quantity, and quality, to maintain machining excellence.

• Interpret blueprints, dimensions, and machine instructions to execute projects accurately.

• (Optional) Apply working knowledge of CNC programming to confirm proper calculations, parameters, and requirements.

• Work under general supervision, handling moderately complex issues while escalating advanced problems when needed.

• Provide mentoring, coaching, or leadership support to team members as appropriate.

• Maintain safety standards while working on the warehouse floor and around heavy machinery.

• Consistently demonstrate TKMNA Employee Attributes and Competencies.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2-4 years of experience in a related machining or manufacturing role.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe practices.

• Technical school accreditation or certification in a skilled trades program.

• Previous warehouse experience (metals industry experience highly valued).

• Forklift operating experience.

• Skilled in using handheld measuring tools.

• Computer literacy and comfort with digital systems.
