Job Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving Associate is responsible for the receipt and issuance of inventory for processing, packaging and shipping of goods to customers. Ensures the accuracy of orders and positions material in the appropriate locations. Responsible for unloading pallets/packages and inspecting their contents to ensure they match the documentation as well as pulling and packing scheduled shipments in order to maintain the company schedule. Employee will utilize the company's inventory control system to receive/issue stock and non-stock material. Facilitate the return of damaged or unsatisfactory products to vendors, and work with our purchasing department to ensure documentation is correct and/or updated.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and off-load material/supplies to/from UPS and common carriers
  • Inspecting contents to ensure accuracy of the order
  • Determine if delivered material complies with purchase order
  • Enter receipt and issuance of material/supplies using company's inventory control system
  • Position material/supplies to appropriate location within the warehouse in a timely manner
  • Pull materials from locations and track actions to maintain accurate inventory
  • Package and ship orders timely and with accuracy
  • Operate company forklift truck, pallet jack, hand truck, etc. as required
  • Facilitate returns for damaged or unsatisfactory products
  • Keeping work area neat and organized
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications

* Knowledge of UPS and Common Carrier processes.

* Minimum of six months of receiving experience.

* Knowledge of MS Office and inventory control software.

* Forklift experience.

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Experience using Oracle or similar ERP systems is a plus
