Job Title: Onsite IT Support Specialist - End-User & Network Operations Specialist.

Location: Onsite - Norwood, OH Schedule: Monday thru Friday, Business hours

Role Overview:

As an Onsite IT Support Specialist - End-User & Network Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in a large, customer-focused environment, providing comprehensive assistance to end-users with their corporate computing and mobility needs, along with hands-on support for on-site IT network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:



  • End-User Support:

    • Provide timely and effective responses to inquiries from end-users.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolving application and equipment-related problems.
    • Manage Voice/Video/Conference Support.


  • Networking Support:

    • Support, diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently, with good documentation practices.
    • Knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP/HTTPS.
    • Understanding of LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices, including configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios for network performance monitoring.


  • Vendor Management:

    • Communicate with vendors and service providers to resolve local IT problems and collaborate with centralized IT.
    • Drive IT change projects on-site or in the region.


  • Business Continuity Planning:

    • Formulate plans to reinstate essential infrastructure operations when disrupted, minimizing effects on employees and stakeholders.




Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.

End user PC support, Network support, Mobility support

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Previous experience in a corporate environment.

Strong customer empathy skills.

Understanding corporate networking topology and operational aspects.

Ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts.

Familiarity with Microsoft applications.

Ability to manage and triage multiple tasks effectively.

Project Management, Network administration, Advanced Network Design, Cloud Networking, IoT Integration.

Self-motivated with a drive to succeed.

Effective time management and task organization skills.
