System Administrator Sr. / Endpoint Configuration Management Sr.

Location: Washington, DC - Remote (must reside within a 75-mile radius)

Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizen (eligible for Public Trust clearance)

Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000

The Opportunity

We are seeking a System Administrator Sr. / Endpoint Configuration Management Sr. to join our remote team supporting a federal client. This role is 100% remote, but candidates must live within a 75-mile radius of Washington, DC, with only occasional on-site attendance if specifically requested by the customer. You'll collaborate closely with your teammates to deliver secure, reliable endpoint configuration management services for thousands of endpoints.


What You'll Do


  • Provide endpoint device configuration management to ensure endpoints maintain a government-specified baseline configuration.



  • Manage a diverse fleet of up to 7,000 endpoint devices including:




    • 4 Linux servers, 68 Windows servers, 2,200 desktops, 1,900 iPhones, and various printers and tablets.





  • Support multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, iOS, Unix variants, and custom firmware.



  • Use government-furnished configuration management tools including MECM, InTune, and BigFix to enforce compliance, push updates, and manage configurations.



  • Manage the packaging, deployment, and patching of up to 15 third-party applications, including end-user and security/management software.



  • Ensure all end-user software updates, patches, or deployments are completed within three days of assignment, and apply critical or zero-day patches within 48 hours as the highest priority.



  • Track and maintain compliance with endpoint and third-party software SLAs.



  • Document and report on configuration baselines, patch status, and compliance metrics as required.




What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Information Technology or related field.



  • Minimum 8 years of experience in endpoint/system administration or configuration management.



  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or under general direction.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.



  • U.S. Citizen, eligible for a Public Trust clearance.




Preferred Skills & Certifications


  • Prior experience supporting federal government environments.
