The Human Services Department (HSD) seeks an experienced IT professional to join their team as a Human Services IT Systems Technician!

 

The Human Services Department's Information Technology Unit serves 1000+ employees who provide a wide variety of Social Services programs to the community. The unit is responsible for providing quality support in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism. The Human Services IT Systems Technician is responsible for providing ongoing technical support for hardware and software systems throughout the Human Services Department, ensuring their operation, installation, maintenance, and support. This position requires a high level of technical expertise to provide hardware and software assistance, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution. Additional responsibilities include:

• Serving as first point of contact for any remote technical issues that require onsite support

• Coordinating and performing the configuration, installation, upgrade, or relocation of information system components, including computers, peripherals, software, and network related components

• Collaborating with IT team members to plan and implement various IT projects, including software installations, upgrades, and migrations

• Interacting with the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system for incident response and service requests

• Performing regular site visits to maintain familiarity and rapport with department staff

• Maintaining organization of hardware inventory and lifecycle for IT equipment across the department
