  • Conduct laboratory analysis of PCBAs to diagnose and isolate failure modes and root causes through visual inspection and usage of electrical test equipment like oscilloscopes and DMMs.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of system and board failures, potentially involving both destructive and non-destructive testing.
  • Develop and implement advanced failure analysis methodologies and techniques using tools such as X-rays, cross-sections, and potentially tools like SEM or FIB for deeper analysis
  • Create formal and concise failure analysis reports that detail findings, data, and root causes, next steps, and feedback for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Concisely and effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to management.
  • Work alongside design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to provide feedback and drive corrective actions to improve product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide recommendations for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) to enhance future product reliability and manufacturability.
