The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring immediately for a Systems Engineer located in Cape Canaveral, FL.


Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP. They will support headquarters level planning, development and execution for a variety of activities including systems integration and missile avionics design for the upcoming TRIDENT II missile system. The Engineer will directly support Missile Branch program managers and engineers in a role related to Test Missile Kit (TMK) and In-Tube Conversion (ITC) operations during flight tests. The Engineer will work on development and execution of program schedules, technical solutions, and root cause analysis. Travel 3-8 times/year is desired.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen with DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (preferably engineering, chemistry, physics, math), or equivalent job experience.
  • 10+ years professional experience with defense programs.
  • Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • U.S. Navy Submarine Officer experience.
