Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for an Automotive/HD Service - Training and Development Manager. The primary function is to provide staff support to all operating entities in the Service and Body Shop areas. Primary responsibility will be to assist the development of Service and Body Shop Managers and service staff, and coordinate policies and procedures.

  • Consult with dealership and corporate staff on applications and reports to run a more efficient department.
  • Continually review improve policies, procedures, and applications to ensure ease and efficiency for the customer and service team.
  • Provide training support for all aspects of Service and Body Shop operations.
  • Review policies and procedures to ensure standardization with MHC Service and Body Shop operations.
  • Preparing and presenting material supporting service concepts including, shop office workflow, shop floor management, warranty processes, customer service, and service sales.
  • Assist the Human Resources Department in recruitment, selection, and training of service personnel as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a heavy-duty truck, automotive, or heavy-duty equipment service operation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including presenting in a group setting.
  • Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing to travel 60% of the time on the job.
  • Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
