Position Summary The transplant organ recovery coordinator is accountable for coordinating the transplant organ recovery process. Through therapeutic relationships with patients, families, self, and colleagues, the transplant organ recovery coordinator participates in monitoring, developing, and evaluating clinical practice while fulfilling department and organizational goals. In conjunction with the transplant surgeon and the transplant physician, the Organ Recovery Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of evaluating organ offers, coordinating all necessary activities related to recovering the accepted organs, and transplanting the organs to the intended recipients. This allows for the assessment, evaluation, admission, management, disposition, and discharge of the donated organs within established protocols. Duties & Responsibilities
