Job Summary

The Service Technician Apprentice - Electrical assists experienced technicians with the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Responsibilities include supporting electrical installations, performing visual inspections, using diagnostic tools to identify issues, and replacing faulty components. This role involves hands-on work with tools and gauges, participation in on-call rotations, basic purchasing duties, and maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles in compliance with safety and driving policies.


Essential Duties

  • Provide hands-on support to service technicians in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance tasks. Diagnose electrical system performance by conducting thorough observations, tests, and setups tailored to the specific trade/position requirements. Demonstrate proficiency in operating a wide range of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians in an on-call/stand-by rotation as outlined by business unit policies and procedures.
  • Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
  • Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.
  • Maintains equipment, vehicle, and tools.

Minimum Requirements

Possession of a High School Diploma or GED. Preference given to candidates with vocational training, completion of apprenticeships, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.

Maintains required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position.

Required in Texas: Electrical Apprentice Card

Required: general electrical installations and troubleshooting skills.

Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing app-based technology.

Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.

Must be punctual and dependable.

Demonstrate strong business ethics at all times.

Present professional appearance.
