Overview

The Department of Mathematics at Clarkson University invites applications for a one year, full-time, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor position. We seek a dynamic and collegial scholar committed to excellence in teaching large lectures, with the ability to contribute across a range of undergraduate and graduate mathematics and statistics courses.

Clarkson University is a nationally recognized research institution known for its focus on technology, innovation, and sustainable solutions to real-world challenges. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative department dedicated to high-impact teaching, student-centered learning, and interdisciplinary research.

Responsibilities

Teaching a 3+3 course load per academic year (three courses each semester), including undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics and statistics.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field is preferred. Exceptional candidates who hold a master's degree and have extensive teaching experiences will also be considered.
* Experience teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level mathematics or statistics.
* Skills:
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
o Ability to explain complex mathematical and statistical concepts clearly and accessibly.
o Commitment to inclusive teaching and student success.
